For this limited 2026 release, Bardstown created a custom blend of 10-, 11-, and 12-year-old straight whiskeys from Kentucky and Indiana. The blend underwent an additional 32 months of maturation in barrels previously used to age Jura single malt Scotch, including both ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. The extended finishing period introduces layers of ripe fruit, malt, oak, and subtle maritime character while preserving the richness and spice of the American whiskey.

Bottled at 104 proof, Lochs of Jura offers a distinctive tasting experience that bridges two celebrated whiskey traditions.

The Blend

Three mature American whiskeys form the foundation of this distinctive release:

• 49% 11-Year Indiana Bourbon: Provides classic bourbon sweetness, oak, and structure.

• 30% 10-Year Indiana Rye: Contributes spice, complexity, and a lively backbone.

• 21% 12-Year Kentucky Bourbon: Adds mature oak character, richness, and depth.

The blend is finished in a combination of 84% ex-bourbon and 16% ex-sherry casks previously used to mature single malt Scotch whisky on the Isle of Jura.
