Castle & Key Traditional Bourbon is a modern Kentucky bourbon rooted in one of the state’s most historic distilling sites. Produced at the restored Old Taylor Distillery, this expression reflects Castle & Key’s thoughtful approach to whiskey making. Balancing grain-forward character, bright fruit, and refined spice in a bourbon that feels both classic and contemporary.

Now aged a full six years and bottled at 101 proof, Traditional Bourbon showcases the distillery’s signature mash bill of white corn, rye, and malted barley. The result is a rich, flavorful whiskey with layers of sweetness, fruit, spice, and oak. 

 
Tasting Notes

Nose: Graham cracker, butterscotch, red apple, honeysuckle, and clove.

Palate: Molasses, golden raisin, apple, toffee, orange zest, praline, and cinnamon.

Finish: Lingering shortbread, candied orange peel, cacao nib, and white pepper.
