Clase Azul Trascender - Dia De los Muertos - Limited Edition 2026 1Liter

Clase Azul Día de Muertos Limited Edition 2026 “Trascender” marks the beginning of a new chapter in the brand’s celebration of one of Mexico’s most meaningful traditions. Following the conclusion of the Nuestros Recuerdos series, which ran from 2021 through 2025, Trascender stands alone as a singular creation inspired by the belief that life does not simply end, but transforms into memory, heritage, and something enduring.

Curated by Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco, this limited-edition añejo is a blend of two tequilas aged for more than 30 months. One component is finished in casks previously used to ferment wine destined for Champagne production, while the second is matured in American whiskey casks. Together, they create an elegant, expressive tequila that balances deep maturity with unexpected freshness.

A Unique Cask Story

The Champagne-related wine casks bring a particularly intriguing dimension to the tequila. During wine production, the process of autolysis allows spent yeast lees to continue releasing aromatic compounds over time. Those casks later contribute warm, buttery aromas and flavors reminiscent of toasted walnut and freshly baked bread to the tequila.

The American whiskey casks add structure, depth, and toasted oak character, creating a blend that feels mature without becoming heavy.

The Decanter

The handcrafted ceramic decanter is central to the story of Trascender. Its glaze transitions from deep blue to vivid magenta, inspired by the mano de león, a traditional flower used to adorn Día de Muertos ofrendas.

Around the base, a hand-painted floral composition evokes the petal-strewn pathways believed to guide returning souls. Tiny skulls and delicate droplets reference the duality of life and death, while 24-karat gold brushstrokes rise upward to symbolize the soul’s journey toward the Sun.

Two marigolds positioned on opposite sides of the decanter represent a soul in transformation as it moves from the physical world into the spiritual realm. Every detail is meticulously hand-painted by Clase Azul artisans using the brand’s signature feathered brushstroke technique.
