Known as the “Father of the Modern Bourbon Industry,” Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. transformed whiskey-making in the late 1800s with innovations that still define the craft today. From copper fermentation tanks to steam-heated warehouses, his legacy of quality and authenticity endures at Buffalo Trace Distillery.
Handmade in small batches and aged in century-old warehouses built by Taylor himself, this Bottled-in-Bond bourbon is drawn from select seven-year-old barrels resting on the sixth floor of brick rickhouses. At 100 proof, it opens with notes of oak and dried fruit, unfolding into layers of salted caramel, butterscotch, and orange before settling into a long, satisfying finish.
Presented in a vintage-inspired label and canister that echo Taylor’s 19th-century style, each bottle is both a tribute to his pioneering vision and a testament to the enduring character of Kentucky bourbon.
