Jefferson’s Tropics Aged in Humidity takes Kentucky bourbon far outside its traditional aging environment. Founder Trey Zoeller sent barrels of fully matured Kentucky straight bourbon to Singapore, where they spent 18 months exposed to intense equatorial heat and humidity in non-climate-controlled conditions.
Singapore’s tropical environment creates dramatically different maturation conditions from a traditional Kentucky rickhouse. The combination of sustained heat and high humidity intensifies the whiskey’s interaction with the barrel, developing a darker, richer profile before the bourbon returns to Kentucky for final blending and bottling.
